HOOVER, AL : 2 in custody after fatal hit-and-run crash on I-459 in Hoover on Friday, 9th February 2024

Hoover Police say two people are in custody following a deadly crash on I-459.

The crash happened Friday, Feb. 9 around 10:09 a.m. on I-459 SB between Highway 31 and John Hawkins Parkway.

Hoover Police say witnesses described three vehicles driving at a high rate of speed on I-459.

One of the vehicles left the road and hit a tree. One person died at the scene and another person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
