NEW CASTLE, IN : Young New Castle man killed in early morning crash on Sunday, 26th April, 2020
A young New Castle man was fatally injured early Sunday when a sport-utility vehicle he was a passenger in left a Henry County road and rolled.
Kodie Skelton, 19, had been a back-seat passenger in the Chevrolet Tahoe when it crashed along Brown Road, at Henry County Road 500-E.
According to Indiana State Police, the Tahoe — driven by Logan Chambers, 18, of Kennard — was eastbound when it went off the north side of Brown Road and rolled over before coming to rest on its wheels.
The accident was reported to emergency dispatchers about 2 a.m.
Chambers and three other passengers — Amanda Poland, 17, and Elizabeth Wallace, 18, both of New Castle, and Logan Barkey, 18, Spiceland — were taken by ambulance to local hospitals, according to an ISP press release.
