SOUTHWICK, MA : A passenger in a vehicle that crashed on Route 57 on February, Monday 5th 2018

A passenger in a vehicle that crashed on Route 57 Monday morning has died from his injuries, police said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred about 5 a.m. in the area of Great Brook Drive, police said. The vehicle hit a tree on the north side of the road.

The driver was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield by Westfield ALS ambulance

The passenger was taken to Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield which reported he died from his injuries.

Police have not released the names of the victims.

The crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police and Southwick Police Sgt. Brad Fisk.
