85-year-old dies following motorcycle crash in George Washington

An 85-year-old man has died following a motorcycle crash on Bluff Street Saturday night.The man, who was not identified as of Monday, was traveling northbound in front of the Hurst Ace Hardware store located at 160 N. Bluff St., at approximately 7:40 p.m. when a southbound Toyota Camry attempted to make a left turn into the store’s parking lot, St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said.
The motorcyclist was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center in serious condition, but at some point later died at the hospital, Despain said. The man was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The driver of the Camry was cited for a failure to yield, Despain said.
