PERKINS TOWNSHIP, OH : Three area men sent to hospital after crash on Monday, February 20th 2017
The state Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash in Perkins Township that sent three people to the hospital Monday evening.The crash occurred at 7:42 p.m. after Ryan Skrumbellos, 21, of Bellevue, failed to yield to oncoming traffic when turning left from Bogart Road onto Camppbell Road, troopers said.
A westbound 1995 GMC Pickup truck being driven by Adam Windisch, 44, of Castalia, struck Skrumbellos’ 2002 Saturn hatchback.
Skrumbellos’ vehicle contained two other people: front-seat passenger, Sean Skrumbellos, 23, and rear-seat passenger Justin Skrumbellos, 22, both of Bellevue.
All three were transported to the Firelands Regional Medical Center emergency room for treatment of what troopers were calling “non-life threatening injuries.”
Ryan Skrumbellos was charged with failure to yield.
Windisch, the other drive, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired, troopers said. Windisch did not claim any injuries.
Perkins Township Police Department and Perkins Fire/EMS assisted at the scene.
