West Bay, FL : Man hospitalized in single-car crash near airport Thursday, February 23, 2017

One man was rushed to the hospital Thursday with undetermined injuries after a single-vehicle crash on State 388.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. The driver, whose name has not been released, was rushed to the hospital after driving a white Nissan Sentra off the road into a water-filled ditch along State 388. The car came to a rest about 600 yards east of the entrance to Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport.

The driver's condition has not been released. The crash initially was reported as an ejection. However, troopers on scene declined to confirm or deny the initial report.
