Cincinnati, OH : Women injured after an alleged street race ended in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday night, November 22, 2014
A woman was hospitalized late Saturday night after an alleged street race ended in a two-vehicle crash.
Alexander Foster, 23, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer north on Reading Road at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday when he ran a red light and struck a second car, police say.
Tarina Simms, 40, was driving west on Section Road when Foster failed to stop at the red light and hit the side of her 2009 Dodge Journey, according to police records. Simms was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with serious injuries. Foster was not injured from the accident, authorities say.
Early reports indicate that Foster was racing another vehicle at the time of the accident. Both of the drivers were wearing seat belts and excessive speed was the main factor of the crash, authorities say.
The Cincinnati Police Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the accident.
