Strongsville, OH : Guy Pavlas, 40, killed in a crash on I-71 in Cuyahoga County on Sunday evening, December 6, 2015

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the man killed in a crash on I-71 Sunday evening.

Guy Pavlas, 40, of Medina, was killed in a crash on I-71 northbound near mile marker 233.2 around 6:30 p.m.

I-71 North between I-71 and I-80 in Strongsville was temporarily closed as a result of the crash.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident.

It appears one vehicle was traveling south on 1-71 and broke through the guard rail crashing into another vehicle traveling north.

Palvas was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken to Southwest Medical Center.

The accident is still under investigation.
