Cape Girardeau, MO : Jackson man injured in rollover crash on Highway 177 in Cape Girardeau County on Thursday morning, February 12, 2015

A Jackson man was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries after being ejected from a car early Thursday morning on Highway 177 in Cape Girardeau County.

About 12:05 a.m., Tyler R. Martin, 24, was driving a 2004 Hyundai Accent north on Highway 177 three miles north of Route V when he ran off the road and overturned, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Martin, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle, which was totaled and had to be towed from the scene, the patrol reported.

Martin was taken by private vehicle to Southeast Hospital.
