Torrance, CA : A 49-year-old woman was killed in a crash on Saturday, November, 18th 2017

A 49-year-old woman was killed Saturday in a crash that briefly closed lanes on Sepulveda Boulevard in Torrance, police said.

How the crash the 8:45 a.m. crash occurred was under investigation. Police said the woman was driving east in a gold Ford van between Ellinwood and Reynolds avenues when she collided with a westbound white Toyota Camry driven by a 42-year-old woman.

The 49-year-old woman was taken to a hospital, where she died, Torrance police Sgt. Michael Chance said. Her name was not immediately released.

The Camry’s driver was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.

The collision was under investigation, said Torrance police Lt. Jeremiah Hart. Anyone with information about it was asked to call traffic investigators at 310-618-5557.

Investigators closed the route for about three hours.
