Marlboro ,VT :Woman, 88, dies of injuries suffered in car-truck collision on Friday ,September 4th 2015
Vermont State Police say an 88-year-old woman has died of injuries suffered in a two-vehicle collision.
Police said Elinor Havness of Wilmington was driving on Route 9 in Marlboro on Sept. 4. She entered the eastbound lane while traveling westbound, colliding with a truck-trailer driven by 46-year-old Stephen Davis of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Police said Davis attempted to evade Havness, but her car crashed into the side of the trailer and it sustained significant damage.
Havness was taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, where she died on Tuesday.
