An Anderson man has been arrested after a chase by a state trooper and a wreck.
Multiple media outlets reported the wreck happened on state Highway 86 around 1 a.m. Sunday near Piedmont.
Anderson County Sheriff's lt. Sheila Cole says the two-minute chase ended when the vehicle spun out of control and hit a fence post.
Thirty-five-year-old Otis Curry Griffin III and a female passenger were taken to AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson for treatment of injuries that did not appear to be life threatening.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Cpl. Bill Rhyne says Griffin is charged with driving under the influence, driving under suspension, failure to stop for police and driving with an open container of alcohol.
It was not clear if Griffin has an attorney.
