Saint Paul, MN : Four people suffered possible injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, August 5, 2017

Four people suffered possible injuries following a two-vehicle crash just outside of New Prague on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, on Saturday at 12:07 p.m., Tina Schrag, 37, of Montgomery, was driving a Lincoln north on Highway 21 by the intersection with County Road 2 when a BMW driven by Birgitta Sundstrom of Apple Valley pulled out into the road.

Sundstrom told a trooper that she stopped at the stop sign and looked both ways before proceeding, and that Schrag “came out of nowhere” and struck the left rear side of the car.

Schrag’s vehicle traveled 360 feet on the pavement before sliding down into a soybean field, damaging crops owned by Robert Schoenbauer.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, Schrag was not the owner of the Lincoln. Upon contacting the vehicle’s owner, the owner came to the scene and drove into the ditch and the soybean field, causing additional damage to the crops.

Schrag, Sundstrom and two unnamed passengers were transported to the Mayo Clinic in New Prague for possible injuries.

The vehicles were towed by Reliable Recovery and Johnson Towing. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office also responded and provided traffic control.
