Claysburg, PA : Woman, 20, killed after car goes off road, hits tree in central Pennsylvania on Saturday, Oct 24, 2015
Police say a 20-year-old woman died after her car went off the road and hit a tree in central Pennsylvania.
The Altoona Mirror reports it happened around 4:20 p.m. Saturday in Claysburg.
Police say the car was on the tip of a hill proceeding down a dense, wooded area. The woman was driving west on Johnstown Road and failed to negotiate a turn, which caused her to go off the road.
Police say her and another woman were trapped inside the vehicle. The roof was sawed off in an attempt to free them.
The passenger was taken to a hospital in Altoona. Her condition was not immediately known.
The woman's identity is being withheld pending notification of her family.
