New Madrid, MO: 54 Years Old Region man died in a one-vehicle crash near east of Portageville on Sunday night,16th November 2014

A Region 8 man died Sunday night in a one-vehicle crash. The accident happened at 7:42 p.m. on New Madrid County Road 425 three miles east of Portageville, Mo. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Donald Johnson, 54, was northbound when his 2000 Suzuki Vitara ran off the road and struck a ditch. Johnson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. The crash report indicates the car then came to a rest on top of Johnson. He was pronounced dead at the scene by New Madrid County Coroner George Delisle at 8:30 p.m. Source : Local man killed in one-car crash
