Holiday, FL : 56-year-old Tarpon Springs woman died in a car crash on U.S. 19 Monday night, Sep 21, 2015

A 56-year-old Tarpon Springs woman was killed in a car crash Monday night in Holiday, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said.

Carmen Galarza-Figueroa was driving west on Flora Avenue when she failed to stop at a red light at U.S. 19, according to the FHP. As a result, her 2010 Kia Forte collided with a Chevrolet pickup traveling north on U.S. 19 and driven by Steven Cory Burton, 20, of New Port Richey, troopers said.

Burton was taken to Florida Hospital with minor injuries; Galarza-Figueroa died at the scene.

No charges were filed.
