Farmington, CT : Man charged after stolen car chase, crash shut down Route 10 in Farmington on Friday, 3rd January, 2020

A 29-year-old man in a stolen car fled from police Friday evening but was caught after he crashed into a tree near Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, police said.
The wreck shut down Route 10 for several hours, and happened just minutes after the driver nearly hit two children on bicycles when he knocked over a light pole, police said.
The driver, Shawn Milner, suffered only minor injuries and was charged with several felonies. Milner was turned over to Enfield police on Saturday on a warrant charging him with an assault in that community, but he posted bond and was released by Saturday evening.
The chase began when Bristol police tried to stop a stolen 2019 Ford Fusion. They notified Farmington police when the car got away near the town border.
