Reno , NV : Amber R. Hallmark killed after Motorcycle crash along US - 50 On Monday ,June 15th 2015

A motorcyclist killed in a collision with a car over the weekend near Lake Tahoe was identified Monday as an Antioch, Calif. woman.

Amber R. Hallmark was pronounced dead the scene Saturday night along U.S. 50 near Martin Drive in Zephyr Cove, the Nevada Highway Patrol said Monday.

Hallmark was traveling west on U.S. 50 about 8 p.m. when the motorcycle she was driving was struck by a Nissan Versa that had drifted into the westbound lane, the NHP said.

Troopers say that Garcia’s car hit the motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

Hallmark, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown about 75 feet from her motorcycle.

The Nissan Versa driver was identified as Alma J. Jaramillo-Garcia, 31, of Moxee, Wash., the NHP said.

Jaramillo-Garcia was transported to Barton Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, the NHP said.
