THOMPSON, ND : One injured in Grand Forks County crash on Interstate 29 on Tuesday, 11th December 2018

Icy roads played a role in a Grand Forks County crash Tuesday afternoon that forced a car to slide into the path of a semi.

Jody Schall, 30, of Reynolds, N.D., was taken by ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks after being injured in a crash at 3:15 p.m. 3 miles south of Thompson on Interstate 29, according to a news release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol. Schall was driving south on the highway when her 2006 Chevrolet Malibu slid out of control and into the path of a southbound 2001 Freightliner driven by 56-year-old Samuel Blattenbauer of Lake Park, Minn., the release said.
