Charlotte County, FL : Two people injured after a crash in Rotonda West on Monday afternoon, April 4, 2016
One woman was flown to a hospital and a man was injured Monday afternoon after a crash in Rotonda West.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol:
Dana R. Carmody, 47, of Port Charlotte was driving a 2007 Kia Spectra eastbound on Pebble Beach Road when she ran a stop sign at Mark Twain Lane.
Carmody collided with a 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by Frederick A. Carley, 69, of Rotonda West. Carmody's car overturned after striking a street sign.
Carmody was airlifted for Lee Memorial Hospital with injuries that are described as minor. Carley was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Carmody was charged with disregarding a stop sign.
