JACKSONVILLE, FL : Pedestrian hit killed walking in the street on Arlington Road on Thursday, 4th January 2024

A man was hit and killed while walking in the street on Arlington Road Thursday at approximately 6:45 p.m., according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

He was struck by a Toyota Tundra pickup that was traveling Northbound on Arlington Road, while he was walking in the outside lane.

A witness told police that a vehicle in front of the Toyota almost hit the man and swerved out of the way.
