Delaware Twp., N.J : 1 person seriously injured in crash in Hunterdon County on Saturday night, April 1, 2017
One person was seriously injured in an accident on Ferry Road on Saturday night.
The accident was reported at 11 p.m. and involved a vehicle that struck a guard rail on a small bridge near the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle, according to those at the scene, and was flown by the State Police NorthSTAR helicopter to Helene Fuld Medical Center in Trenton. No information on the driver was available on Sunday morning.
The helicopter landed at Delaware Township School on Rosemont-Ringoes Road in Sergeantsville.
Members of the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad and paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township transported the driver from the crash scene to the landing zone at the school.
Also responding were the Delaware Township Police, Sergeantsville Fire Department and Stockton Fire Department.
Ferry Road was closed until shortly after midnight.
