SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC : Coroner identifies victim killed during work-related incident in Spartanburg Co on Thursday, 18th January 2024

The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office said officials are investigating after a man died following a work-related incident on Thursday.
Officials said the incident happened at 8342 Fairforest Rd. in Spartanburg.
According to officials, the victim was taken to the hospital following the incident, but he passed away at 10:41 p.m. The Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 36-year-old Matthew Frady from Duncan.
The Coroner’s Office stated that their preliminary investigation indicated that Frady’s injuries were caused by chemicals. However, they are still working on determining what officially caused his death.
