Arkansas State Police say a Fort Smith man was killed when the motorcycle he was driving crashed.

Troopers say 43-year-old Thomas Wally Smith died following the crash on Highway 271 shortly after 8:30 p.m. Friday.

A state police report says Smith was southbound when his motorcycle went off the highway in a curve and crashed into a utility pole.

The report says the weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident.
