Andover, MA : 21-year-old driver serious injuries in a two-car crash on Interstate 93 south on Monday, Nov 23, 2015
State Police are investigating a serious car crash in Andover.
At around 3:15 p.m. on Monday, troopers responded to a report of a two-car crash south of exit 43 on Interstate 93 south, according to State Police.
Police say a Honda CRV that was driving in the breakdown lane hit a Hyundai that was stopped in the breakdown lane. The CRV struck the driver of the Hyundai who was standing behind his car, according to State Police.
The 21-year-old driver of the Hyundai suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital in Lawrence before he was flown by helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Police say the victim is from Manchester, New Hampshire.
The driver of the Honda, a 48-year-old man from Andover, was not injured.
No charges have been filed. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
