Waterbury, CT : Man was killed early Friday morning on August 5th, 2016
A 45-year-old city man was killed early Friday morning in a collision on Interstate 84, state police said.
Victor Medero, of 346 Baldwin St., was traveling eastbound on I-84 near exit 21 when the Mitsubishi Montero he was driving rear-ended a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Richard N. Lamothe, 27, of Bristol, according to state police reports.
Medero’s vehicle then rolled over and slid several hundred feet, reports indicate.
Troopers said Medero was determined to have died at the scene.
Medero was known to be an avid dart player in the city, who competed in tournaments.
The accident is still under investigation, and state police ask any witnesses or others with information about the crash to contact Trooper Porrini at Troop A in Southbury at 203-267-2200.
