Carlisle, PA : Man flown from Shippensburg crash on Saturday, February 25th 2017

A Maryland man was flown from a Shippensburg crash in early February, State Police at Carlisle reported Saturday.

Police said Yuri W. Watson, 22, of Harwood, Maryland, was traveling in a 1992 BMW 325i north in the 300 block of North Earl Street, Shippensburg Township, at 9:50 p.m. Feb. 8 when he failed to make a left curve in the road and struck a building.Police said Watson was not wearing his seat belt and had to be extricated from the vehicle. He suffered serious injuries and was flown by Life Lion to Penn State Hershey Medical Center. His vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police said they suspect alcohol and drugs were involved in the crash.
