Alton, N.H : Three people injured in a head-on crash on Route 28 near Chestnut Cove on Tuesday, April 21, 2015
After a two-car collision, one person was taken in critical condition to a local hospital and then flown by helicopter to a larger hospital Tuesday night.
The crash occurred about 5:20 p.m. on Route 28 near Chestnut Cove, a fire department spokesman said. The two cars involved crashed head-on, the spokesman said.
A DHART helicopter was initially ordered to the scene, but then was directed by local rescue crews to a landing zone at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro.
A total of three patients were treated after the crash.
