CHICAGO, IL : Two women were killed when a man trying to flee from officers crash on Saturday, June 24, 2017

Police say two women were killed when a man trying to flee from officers crashed an SUV into their car on Chicago’s South Side.

Police say officers stopped the SUV about 1 a.m. Saturday after seeing some inside it firing gunshots in the Englewood neighborhood. Officers arrested the woman who was driving, but a man inside the SUV jumped into the driver’s seat and started to drive away.

The SUV then crashed into the car, forcing it off the street. Officers arrested the man who was trying to flee.

Authorities didn’t immediately release more information about the two victims or those arrested.
