Motorcyclist killed in Route accident in Wenham

The victim in the fatal crash on Route 1A in Wenham Thursday afternoon has been identified as Steven M. Daly, 61, of North Andover. He was driving a motorcycle, which collided with a truck driven by a 60-year-old Gloucester man. At 2:10 p.m. on Thursday Wenham Police and Fire units were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street where a motorcycle collided with an oncoming lumber delivery truck. The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at Beverly Hospital.Route 1A in Wenham near the Beverly line was closed for a period of time while the state Reconstruction Team investigated the accident.The driver of the lumber truck was transported for minor injuries.No criminal charges have been issued at this time. The matter remains under investigation by State Police CARS and Wenham Police.
