Dane County, WI : FATAL CRASH KILLS 1, INJURES ANOTHER on early Saturday morning June 14th 2014

A passenger killed in a single-car crash in the Town of Berry in Dane County was identified by authorities Monday as Dylan J. Lindeman, 22, of Middleton.

The crash was reported shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday on Martinsville Road at High Rise Road in the Town of Berry, according to the Dane County Sheriff's Office.

The driver, a 22-year-old man from Dane, remained hospitalized Monday with injuries that are not life-threatening, according to a sheriff's office news release.

According to the release, investigators suspect the Honda Accord occupied by the two men was southbound on Martinsville Road when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree.

Alcohol and speed were factors in the crash, which remained under investigation Monday, according to the release.
