Canogo Park, CA : Man dies in motorcycle crash with Metro bus in Canoga Park on May 8th 2014

A man in his 50s was killed when his motorcycle collided with a Metro bus in Canoga Park, police said today.

The crash happened around 8:55 p.m. Thursday in the 21500 block of Nordhoff Street, west of Canoga Avenue, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The victim, Manuel Jimenez Galvan, of Chatsworth, was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.

The bus was eastbound on Nordhoff and the biker westbound when the bus made a left turn in front of the victim as it headed toward a bus stop, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Howard Choy.
