Wilmington police are investigating a deadly motorcycle accident that occurred Monday morning on River Road.
According to a news release, Tramyne Antonio Brown, 25, of Wilmington was driving a motorcycle at a high rate of speed southbound on River Road around 6:55 a.m.
Officials say Brown lost control of the motorcycle in the 3300 block of River Road and crashed after striking some railroad tracks.
Brown was taken by EMS to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he later died.
No one else was involved in the accident.
