PRINCETON, NJ : Princeton man killed in SUV-motorcycle accident on Lovers Lane Road, about one-quarter mile west of South Main Street on Tuesday, 7th April, 2020

A man was killed Tuesday night after his motorcycle collided with a sport-utility vehicle south of Princeton, according to authorities.

Stephan J. Nelson, 30, of Princeton died as a result of the accident that took place just before 7:30 p.m. on Lovers Lane Road, about one-quarter mile west of South Main Street.

According to the Bureau County Sheriff’s Office, Nelson was piloting an eastbound motorcycle that was attempting to pass an automobile. The motorcycle collided head-on with the westbound SUV.

Nelson was transported to Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. There he was pronounced dead at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday, Bureau County Coroner Janice Wamhoff said Thursday.

No autopsy was performed. Authorities were continuing to investigate.
