VIENNA, NY : A Warners man was injured in a car-motorcycle accident on Monday, September 4, 2017

A Warners man was injured in a car-motorcycle accident on State Route 49 in Vienna on Monday, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 1:07 p.m. to the accident at the intersection of 49 and Yager Road.

Tracy Bach, 54, of North Bay, was driving south on Yager Rd. in a Chevrolet sedan, but while crossing Route 49, failed to yield to a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling east, according to deputies. The passenger side of her vehicle collided with the motorcycle, which was being driven by Robert Valente, 79, of Warners, who was thrown off the motorcycle, deputies said.

Valente sustained an apparently non-life-threatening hip injury and was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center by Vineall Ambulance, deputies said.

Bach was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way and for driving an unregistered motor vehicle. She’s scheduled to answer both summons at a later date in the Town of Vienna court.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the New York State Police, the North Bay Volunteer Fire Department and Vineall Ambulance.
