Houma, LA : Bicyclist struck, killed in hit and run accident on LA 3087 in Terrebonne Parish on Tuesday, March 31, 2015

State police say a bicyclist struck in a hit and run crash in Terrebonne Parish has died.

Trooper Evan Harrell says officials are still search for the driver of the hit and run vehicle.

Harrell says 20-year-old Jonathan Young, of Houma, was riding his bike eastbound on Louisiana Highway 3087 Tuesday afternoon when he crossing both westbound lanes to make a left turn and was hit by a 2001 Ford truck.

Harrell says witnessed reported that the driver got out of his vehicle, removed the bike from under the truck and then left the scene.

Harrell says Young died early Wednesday morning at a New Orleans hospital.

He says troopers have located the truck, but the driver is still wanted.
