Orlando, FL : Orange County deputy hospitalized after crash on Orange Blossom Trail at West Oak Ridge Road on Tuesday evening, February 2, 2016

An Orange County deputy responding to a call Tuesday evening was hit by a car on Orange Blossom Trail at West Oak Ridge Road in Orlando, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The deputy's vehicle crashed into a pole after being struck by a car that was pulling into the intersection, the FHP says.

The deputy was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and the driver of the car was treated at the scene, officials said.
