Albany, NY : Motorcyclist dies after crashing while driving wrong way on an elevated ramp in Albany on July 27, 2014

Police say a 36-year-old man has died after he crashed his motorcycle on an elevated ramp in Albany and fell 30 feet to the street below.

Authorities say officers responded around 3 a.m. Sunday to a report of an unconscious person near the Quay Street ramp leading to Broadway. The officers then found the man's motorcycle on the ramp above.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say it appears the man was riding the wrong way on the ramp when he lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected off of the ramp onto the street below.

The man's name is being withheld pending family notifications.
