Spartanburg,SC : Suspect killed after chase and crash in Spartanburg County on may, Wednesday 24th 2017
Spartanburg, South Carolina
Troopers said they responded to two crashes on Beaverdam Church Road in Spartanburg County early Wednesday morning. One involving a police officer.
Per the SC Realtime Traffic Information System it all occurred on Beaverdam Church Road at Law Street shortly before midnight.
The Enoree Fire Department says a Woodruff police officer and suspect were involved in a chase before the driver crashed and died on scene.
Trooper Bill Rhyne said a police officer rolled their cruiser in separate crash.
Highway Patrol says the officer was taken to Spartanburg Regional to be checked out, but is expected to be okay.
The name of the driver who was killed was not released.
