LAS VEGAS, NV : 1 dead, several hurt in crash on Durango near Charleston on Friday, 29th December 2023

A 26-year-old man is dead and several others were transported to the hospital with minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash in southwest Las Vegas Friday.

The crash was reported at 10:23 a.m. on Durango Drive and Soneto Lane, just south of Charleston Boulevard.

According to Las Vegas police, impairment isn’t suspected at this time.

A preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder tried to turn left from a stop sign on Soneto Lane to northbound Durango. A 2011 Hyundai Genesis was southbound on Durango in the left lane approaching the intersection. A collision occurred when the Nissan crossed the Hundai’s travel path, police said.
