SAUK COUNTY, WI : Med Flight transports driver following snowmobile vs. tree crash on Highway 33, just south of the Village of La Valle on Saturday, 2nd February 2019

A snowmobiler was airlifted to the hospital after crashing into a tree early Saturday morning.

According to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened around 12:45 a.m. Saturday off State Highway 33, just south of the Village of La Valle.

Deputies found a 2014 Arctic Cat snowmobile approximately 300 yards from the roadway with front end damage, the release said. The crash reportedly involved a tree.

The snowmobile driver was injured in the accident. The driver was initially in the care of Reedsburg Emergency Management Services before being transported by Med Flight to the UW Hospital in Madison, according to the release.
