Jefferson City,MO :4 hurt in Sunday accident on April, Sunday 22th 2018
Four Mid-Missouri residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident early Sunday morning in Phelps County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said Makayla A. Potts, of Vichy, was driving westbound at 2:55 a.m., about 8 miles east of St. James on Missouri 8, when her vehicle went off the right side of the road.
She over-corrected and the vehicle traveled across the road, struck a guardrail, rotated counter-clockwise and struck a bridge rail face.
Potts and two of her passengers, Kennedi S. Mathis, 17, of St. James, and Kylee N. Wilken, 16, of St. Clair, were moderately injured. A third passenger, Michael W. Tanner, 19, of Steelville, sustained minor injuries.
Potts and Wilken were taken to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla. Mathis and Tanner sought their own treatment.
None of those involved were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.
