Bay Village, OH: John Eischen of North Olmsted died in Sunday Bay Village crash on Lake Road, near the Cuyahoga and Lorain county line on April 27th 2014

Police are investigating an accident that killed one person Sunday evening.

The two-vehicle crash happened around 4:50 p.m. on Lake Road near the Lorain County line when the cars collided head-on.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identifies the man who died in the crash as John B. Eischen IV, 77, of Bay Village.

An Avon Lake mother and her 14-year-old son were in the other car and were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Lake Road was closed from Brunswick Drive to Huntington Woods Parkway. That area has since reopened.
