Jacksonville,FL : One dead after wrong-way crash on University Boulevard on November, Sunday 12th 2017

One person has died after a wrong-way crash Sunday at the intersection of Atlantic and University Boulevards, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

It happened around 5:30 pm.

Police said a truck and a sedan collided. According to witnesses, the truck was traveling south on University Boulevard and a grey car was traveling north in the southbound lanes, which resulted in the crash.

A rescue unit arrived and took one of the drivers to a nearby hospital, but the other driver died at the scene, police said.
