One person was killed and two others were critically injured in a suspected drunken driving crash Saturday afternoon in Oklahoma City, authorities said.
Officers tried to pull over a driver who was speeding and appeared under the influence, according to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office.
The erratic driver was driving down Northeast 23rd, where he first sideswiped and scraped three vehicles near Westminster and kept driving.
The vehicle then hit another vehicle and two motorcycles at a high rate of speed on Post Road, running over the drivers before flipping his own car, the Sheriff's Office said.
One motorcycle rider died. Two other motorcycle riders are in critical condition.
Deputies said the driver tried to fight authorities after flipping his car. An officer suffered minor injuries in the altercation.
The man was sent to a hospital with injuries from the crash and will be taken to jail when he is released, the Sheriff's Office said.
All four lanes of Northeast 23rd Street are closed between Westminster and Post roads. Authorities said the road will reopen about 4 p.m.
