Norton, OH : Motorcycle rider dead after accident on Thursday July 24th 2014

An Akron man is dead after he was involved in a motorcycle accident Thursday.

According to the Summit County medical examiner, Joseph Pillitiere, 62, was northbound on state Route 21 at Johnson Road at about 12:10 p.m. when he was struck by another vehicle.

He was taken to Akron City Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
