Grant county,WI : Multiple students injured in Grant County school bus crash on may, Tuesday 23th 2017

Authorities say a school bus collided with a dump truck Tuesday afternoon in Patch Grove Township.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded at 3:55 p.m. at the intersection of Morgan Road and County Road P.

Authorities say the bus entered County P from Morgan Road as a dump truck was traveling west bound on County Road P. The school bus was spun around, went through a ditch and came to rest in a field.

The school bus had eight passengers and the driver on board.

Authorities say one of the passengers was ejected and taken to an area hospital. Two others were taken by parents, one was treated and released at the scene, and the rest were taken by rescue squads to area hospitals.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office is not releasing the names of the drivers or the passengers at this time.

The crash is being investigated by Grant County Sheriff’s Office. The Wisconsin State Patrol is handling the reconstruction.

The Fennimore Police Department, Lancaster Rescue Unit, Fennimore Rescue Units, Gunderson Rescue Units, Bloomington Fire, West Grant EMS, Patch Grove Fire, Bagley First Responders, and Grant County Emergency Government provided assistance.
