ELLSWORTH, WI : Minnesota man hurt in cycle crash on Saturday, May 27, 2017

A Shakopee, Minn., man was airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul following a motorcycle crash Saturday in Pierce County.

Nathan Blackbird, 37, was thrown from his 2012 Harley-Davidson in the crash, which was reported at 5:19 p.m.

According to the Pierce County sheriff’s office, Blackbird was traveling eastbound on 290th Avenue in the town of Diamond Bluff when he failed to negotiate a curve and crashed into a wooded area. Blackbird was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System inRed Wing, Minn., and later flown to Regions Hospital with undetermined injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
