FOXBORO, MA : Motorcyclist crashes into state trooper after Patriots game on Sunday, 2nd October 2016
A motorcyclist fleeing state troopers directing traffic after the Patriots game hit one of them.
Police identified the motorcyclist as Jose Perez-Rodriguez, 25, of Everett. Troopers on-foot were trying to stop him as he drove against traffic near the main entrance to Gillette Stadium when he hit one of them at parking lot P8, according to police.
The trooper, whose name is not being released at this time, was rushed by helicopter to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries. At this time, those injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Perez-Rodriguez is being treated for injuries at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and will be booked as soon as his medical condition allows.
The crash is still under investigation.
