FAIRHAVEN, MA : 84-year-old man injured in Fairhaven pedestrian crash at the intersection of Route 6 and Francis Street on Wednesday, 22nd May 2019

An elderly man was airlifted to the hospital Wednesday after being struck by a pick-up truck in Fairhaven.

The crash occurred around 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Route 6 and Francis Street.

According to police, the pick-up truck struck an 84-year-old man as he was crossing the street.The victim was rushed by ambulance to Fairhaven High School, where he was then airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital.

The driver of the pick-up stayed at the crash site and cooperated with Police.

The victim’s condition is not known at this time.
